Summer Camp Program Leader

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate recreational, educational, and enrichment activities Assist with arts and crafts, outdoor games, sports, field trips, and special events Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff Enforce school rules, behavior expectations, and safety procedures consistently Respond appropriately to behavioral concerns, conflicts, accidents, or emergencies Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of camp materials and spaces Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding student needs, incidents, or concerns Support an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old (or age requirement determined by organization) Experience working with children in camps, schools, childcare, or recreational programs preferred Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Ability to maintain professionalism, flexibility, and positive energy throughout the summer season Physical Requirements Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed Preferred Skills Experience leading group activities Creative problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to engage children of various ages and abilities Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus Work Environment Summer Camp Program Leaders work in a fast-paced environment that may include classrooms, playgrounds, gyms, parks, and field trip locations. Flexibility, teamwork, and enthusiasm are essential to the success of the program.
