Position:

Summer Camp Counselor Hours:

June 8-12, 2026, 9 AM-5 PM - Camp Training Week June 15-July 24, 2026, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM - Camp Schedule (closed Friday June 19 in observance of Juneteenth & Friday July 3 in observance of Fourth of July)

Supervisors:

Summer Camp Director General Function:

Supervise and lead fun outdoor activities for an assigned group of campers between the ages of 6-10. Be a positive role model and interact with enthusiasm and energy.

Expectations:

Be a responsible and positive adult role model while leading and engaging in sports, swimming, hikes, arts & crafts, nature, and teambuilding activities Ensure maximum participation by assigned group of campers Track attendance accurately and follow assigned schedule Work as a team player with other counselors Create a fun and safe camp environment Ensure safety on camp buses Attend all counselor trainings prior to the beginning of camp

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma Ability to adjust to a fast pace of work, think on your feet, and use common sense Ability to effectively relate to youth of various ages Familiarity with the diverse population that the Boys & Girls Club serves Experience in youth development, education, or recreation (coaching) preferred
