Job Description

Job Overview Responsible for providing direct support to campers and staff to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive camp experience. Responsibility focuses on camper behavior support, social-emotional needs, inclusion strategies, and assisting staff with effective behavior management techniques. Must have current/ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification. Prior Camp experience required. Must be 18 or older. Responsibilities Provide individualized and small-group support to campers who may need additional behavioral, emotional, or social assistance Assist campers, with transitions, routines, and participation in daily activities Support the implementation of behavior management strategies and camp expectations Assist staff in responding to challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement and redirection Document behavioral incidents and interventions as required Skills Ability to supervise the work of subordinate personnel: ability to enforce regulations firmly, tactfully, and impartially. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public: ability to anticipate and recognize dangerous and potentially dangerous situations at recreation facilities: ability to recognize emergencies and to take necessary preventative action. Knowledge of organized games and free play activities; Ability to work well with children.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
: Required to have current American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid certification. Prior Camp experience required. Must be age 18 or older
Pay:
$17.94 - $18.66 per hour
