The ideal candidate loves working with young children and can create a fun, immersive learning environment through games, songs, movement, storytelling, crafts, and hands-on activities. This role includes planning and teaching interactive Mandarin lessons that encourage participation, confidence, and conversational language development in a playful and age-appropriate setting. Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging Mandarin lessons for children ages 4-10 Create weekly lesson plans with interactive, hands-on activities Incorporate songs, movement, games, storytelling, art, STEM, cooking, and sensory play into lessons Encourage conversational Mandarin through immersion-style teaching Adapt activities for different language levels and learning styles Maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment Prepare classroom materials and activity supplies as needed Collaborate with staff and communicate professionally with families Support camp routines, transitions, and student engagement throughout the day Qualifications Fluent or native Mandarin speaker Experience working with young children Teaching, tutoring, camp, or classroom experience preferred Passion for early childhood education and language learning Energetic, patient, and creative personality Ability to manage a classroom in a positive and engaging way ECE units or teaching credentials are a plus but not required Ideal Candidate The ideal teacher is playful, enthusiastic, and able to make language learning exciting and memorable for young children. We are looking for someone who enjoys being interactive and can keep children engaged through movement, creativity, and meaningful conversation.
