Job Description

Job Summary Summer Boat Dockhand/Landscape assistant position available. Must be available to work evenings, holidays and weekends. Boat Dockhand responsibilities include but are not limited to, maintaining 3 boats to ensure they are clean and ready for use at the owner's request. Setup boat prior to owners use and assist owner off and on the dock. Landscape assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to, assisting the Property manager maintaine the grounds. Duties will include caring and maintaining the vegetable garden, cleaning and maintaining the pool area and assisting the property manager as needed. Responsibilities Assist with docking procedures by securing boats, managing mooring lines, and ensuring safe vessel handling Perform routine maintenance on docks, boats, and related equipment, including rigging tasks such as securing lines and adjusting hardware Support gardening activities by planting, watering, pruning, weeding, and maintaining landscaped areas to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Conduct basic mechanical inspections of equipment, identifying issues related to rigging or mechanical components and reporting repairs needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of outdoor spaces, including trash removal, sweeping walkways, and ensuring safety protocols are followed Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily operations and ensure smooth workflow during busy periods Follow safety guidelines diligently during all activities to prevent accidents or damage to property Requirements Enthusiastic attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills in marine operations and gardening Basic knowledge of rigging techniques used in securing boats or equipment Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform simple inspections and maintenance tasks Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately Prior experience with rigging or mechanical work is a plus but not required; training will be provided Must be available for the full duration of the summer season; flexibility in scheduling is preferred This energetic role offers a fantastic chance to develop practical skills in marine handling, landscaping, and mechanical maintenance within a supportive team environment.
