Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility . Under the general supervision of the Senior Director of Operations, the full time (40 hour per week) YMCA Nutrition Services Truck driver will manage the products, vehicles, and routes assigned to them. Every day the driver is expected to execute the loading and unloading of all trucks in an efficient and accurate manner. Drivers are then expected to run their assigned route to include unloading product in designated areas. The driver is required to conduct basic vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues. This position requires substantial physical effort as well as the usage of high-level customer service and communication skills.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for complying with local traffic regulations Report delays, any case of accident, injury or damage of trucks to the supervisor or manager Assist in maintaining the company fleet; this includes keeping the truck clean and orderly Perform periodic maintenance on trucks, such as Fueling diesel, DEF, and ensuring the Truck is kept clean Assist with receiving, transporting, sorting, unloading food boxes, setting up tents, sandwich boards, flags, and yard signs at various sites Assist in distributing the food boxes on service days as designated by Summer Food Operations Reliable transportation to the All other duties as assigned, including non-driving tasks within the warehouse and production facilityYMCA LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES

Must have valid Driver's License, CDL preferred. Must be able to perform repeated manual lifting of heavy items over 50 pounds and be skilled in the usage of 2-wheel dollies. Ability to manage frequent stops and navigate local area with ease Ability to drive safely and work efficiently during inclement weather conditions Minimum of 6 months commercial driving experience or 3 months of food service delivery experience Previous customer service experience preferred Proficient in the usage of smartphones and navigation apps Able to pass aMVR WORK SCHEDULE
The work schedules may vary per the workload for that day but the typical hours are Tuesday -Saturday Between the hours of 8am - 5:30 amWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to perform activities which require sustained concentration and attention. Ability to perform tasks that are repetitive Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with the usage of 2-wheel dollies. Ability to stand, lift, carry, for extended periods of time and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and stooping. Comfortable driving trucks for long periods of time Must be able to pass a MVR Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and give consistent and accurate product Be required to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions.
