Summer Help - Grounds Maintenance

Martin Marietta is currently hiring for summer help at our St. Cloud Quarry. This role will allow college students to get a hands-on experience to learn the industry from the ground-up. You'll work alongside some of the best in the aggregate business. This a great opportunity for students with minimal or no mining industry experience to gain first-hand knowledge of a open pit granite quarry operation. Essential Functions Assist in area upkeep and clean-up. Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulations. General upkeep is including of lawn maintenance, landscaping, painting, etc. Perform duties with minimum supervision. Requirements Must be 18 years old or older Must be able to work extended shifts and weekends Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. We are excited to share the base range for this position is $21.50 - $29.05, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base hourly compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members. The posted range for this role represents the total reasonable pay range and does not solely represent a hiring range. Therefore, hiring at the top or maximum of the range should not be expected as it would not allow for salary growth opportunities in the role, would diminish promotion value, and may not align with internal equity.
