Temporary Information Technology Temporary Summer Help Reports to: Support Manager Temporary Summer Help Information Technology support- temporary workers to assist with ITS summer projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Install/reimage wired and wireless computers to include software and configuration of network and peripheral equipment. Ensure that all installations are completed using district technology plans and approved wiring diagrams to enable troubleshooting and repair of network connectivity. Install data conduits, cabling, outlet boxes and related hardware as specified by the network design plan. Perform testing and repair of data cabling as required. Diagnose moderately complex network problems and identify methods of repair. Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and peripheral equipment. Conduct periodic maintenance according to established department schedule. Work with supervisor to provide input and coordination for the most appropriate manner of repair, replacement, modification, or new installation of computer hardware and data communications hardware considering cost, timelines, resources and budget. Setup VOIP phones, Audio and Video Classroom equipment. Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the district's client filtering software, firewall. Responsible for the set-up, maintenance and management of wireless networks using wireless protocol 802.11 n/ax. Ensure wireless network security is maintained. Prioritize and organize time and resources to effectively support the Information Technology program and services. Provide end user support to related computer hardware and software problems. Field customer questions regarding the use of MS Office and Windows 10/11 Conduct one-on-one training as it pertains to district wide applications with internal customers. Model appropriate and cooperative behavior, including protecting confidential information consistent with district ethical guidelines. Foster and maintain strong productive relationships with district employees, vendors and contractors, and other community members. Work with a variety of people in a positive manner. Provides related functions as required. The essential functions listed above are not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.
