Job Description
The dates run from June 16th to August 13th, 2026. If living on site the salary range is $3000.00 - $4250.00 for the contracted summer season, hourly wage if commuting. All food, lodging, and laundry is covered; and all travel expenses are reimbursed. Camp Caribou is an overnight summer camp located in Winslow, Maine. We offer instruction in a wide variety of land and water sports to children aged 7-15. Throughout the season, staff members will have the opportunity to gain experience working with children, become a head coach of a specific sport, and develop relationships that will last a lifetime! If you are passionate and enthusiastic about the outdoors, sports, and working with the youth, this will be the best summer internship and job you'll ever have! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated hockey coach to lead our team in developing skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and experience working with children of various ages and abilities. This role requires an individual who can educate players on the fundamentals of hockey while fostering a positive and motivating environment. Summer Camp Hockey Coach Job Summary Responsibilities Develop and implement practice plans that enhance players' skills and understanding of the game. Conduct training sessions focusing on individual and team development. Teach fundamental hockey techniques Foster teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among players. Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement. Organize and participate in games, tournaments, and other competitive events. Maintain a safe training environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff regarding player development and team activities. Skills Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in hockey. Strong understanding of health club dynamics and physical fitness principles. Ability to manage behavior effectively within a team setting. Experience working with students in an educational or athletic capacity. Excellent communication skills to educate players on techniques and strategies. Strong leadership qualities to inspire and motivate young athletes.
Pay:
