Reports To:

Summer Program Coordinator Position Overview The Summer Learning Camp Instructional Assistant supports teachers in delivering engaging, hands-on literacy instruction aligned to Oregon K-4 Literacy Standards. This role is essential in providing small group support and intervention within a high-dosage literacy model. Key Responsibilities Support implementation of the daily literacy block and weekly thematic units. Work with small groups of students to reinforce: Foundational reading skills Vocabulary and language development Writing and comprehension Assist in delivering GLAD strategies and visual supports for students. Help prepare and organize hands-on, engaging instructional materials and activities. Support progress monitoring and data collection for student learning. Collaborating with teachers and the High Dosage Foundational Skills Team. Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment. Provide support for multilingual learners. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with elementary-aged students. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Familiarity with literacy instruction or intervention programs.
