Immediately Job Description Dorchester County Public Schools is currently seeking a Summer Learning Liaison for Community Partnerships. The Summer Learning Liaison for Community Partnerships supports community organizations in the implementation and coordination of summer academic opportunities. This role focuses on connecting students, schools, and community-based organizations to ensure access to high-quality academic support aligned with DCPS for instructional programming. The Liaison facilitates alignment between district expectations and partner organizations to ensure that academic efforts are organized, accessible, and responsive to student data. This position reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Academics and Student Services.
DUTIES:
Summer Academic Program Coordination Support summer academic opportunities within community-based programs. Ensure the academic components of community-based programs are aligned with district expectations for student support. Partnership & Community Coordination Serve as the district point of contact for community organizations providing summer learning opportunities. Support community partners in understanding district expectations, student needs, and available resources. Assist organizations in connecting with appropriate district resources and relevant student data, as appropriate. Support community partners in accessing and utilizing district-approved instructional resources, platforms, and tools (e.g., digital programs, intervention resources) as appropriate. Provide basic guidance to partners on the use of district-supported platforms to support student learning during summer programming. Monitor student participation and support communication between partners and schools. Data Monitoring & Reporting Collect and organize data related to student participation in summer academic and remediation programs. Monitor student outcomes and participation trends to identify gaps in access or support. Provide summary reports to district leadership to inform decision-making. Support schools and partners in using data to improve student support efforts. Collaboration & Communication Serve as a liaison between schools, district departments, and community organizations. Communicate clearly with staff and partners regarding available resources, opportunities, and expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Possess a Master's degree or higher from accredited college or university. Hold a valid Maryland Advanced Professional License in any area. Familiarity with instructional technology platforms and digital learning tools. Knowledge of Dorchester County Public Schools curriculum, techniques for integrating curriculum, Dorchester County Public Schools policies, and effective instructional practices. Experience working with community organizations or partnerships preferred. Possess strong communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills. Be proficient with instructional technology and digital learning tools.
