Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic summer painting crew and jump into an exciting role that combines hands-on craftsmanship with team collaboration! As a valued team member, you will assist in transforming residential and commercial spaces through professional painting techniques, supporting renovation projects, and ensuring high-quality finishes. This paid summer position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in construction-related tasks while developing valuable skills in painting, carpentry, and surface preparation. If you're eager to learn, energetic, and ready to contribute to vibrant projects, this is the perfect role for you! Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer as needed. Assist with the application of paint using hand tools and power tools such as airless paint sprayers and brushes. Support the team in performing surface repairs including plastering, stucco application, and drywall restoration. Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate work. Use hand tools like putty knives, scrapers, caulking guns, and saws to complete various tasks on-site. Help with installation of fixtures, trim carpentry, and masonry work as directed by supervisors. Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols and properly handling equipment like scaffolding and ladders. Qualifications Basic knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics is preferred but not required. Experience with residential or commercial painting projects is a plus; familiarity with industrial painting or restoration work is advantageous. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and maintenance of tools is highly desirable. Knowledge of construction site safety practices and ability to work effectively on renovation or remodeling projects. Strong communication skills with the ability to follow instructions clearly and accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface preparation and finishing tasks.
