Summer Preschool Support Staff (Seasonal)

For Summer term 2026 (May 26th -August) we are seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic staff member to help serve in our preschool program in Chase City, Virginia. This position involves helping supervise children, assisting with classroom routines and activities, supporting teachers, and contributing to a safe, positive, and orderly environment for our students. There are fulltime and part time options available with the potential of being extended beyond the summer based on the needs of the preschool and employee.

Responsibilities may include:

Supervising and assisting children in daily activities Helping with organization and routines Assisting with feeding, restroom, and general care needs as appropriate Supporting teachers with crafts, learning activities, and transitions Maintaining a safe, attentive, and nurturing environment Helping with miscellaneous support tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Dependable and punctual Enjoys working with children Able to follow directions and preschool procedures Able to work well with staff and families Must meet applicable background-check requirements for Virginia child care settings

Schedule:

Part time/Full time weekday hours available for summer or potentially longer term
