• Reflective and Accountable — Models a culture of continuous improvement; demonstrates the self-awareness and humility to reflect openly on outcomes and lead through challenges with transparency.
• Long-Term Commitment — Seeks a meaningful, sustained tenure in Mineola; this position is not intended as a short-term or career stepping-stone appointment.
• Cultural Competence — Appreciates and honors the district's multi-language community. Spanish language proficiency is a welcomed asset, though not required. Required Qualifications
• New York State certification as School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL), or eligibility for such certification.
• Substantial educational leadership experience in a K-12 setting, with demonstrated success in administrative roles.
• A graduate degree in educational administration, leadership, or a related field. While a doctorate is not required, candidates must demonstrate the educational and professional preparation appropriate to lead a high-performing district.
• A record of ethical leadership, sound fiscal management, and collaborative decision-making.

Compensation The Mineola UFSD offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience and qualifications, including salary in the range of $280,000 - $320,000, as well as benefits consistent with district policy.
