Job Description

Overview Provides daily operational supervision of the Biomedical Electronics Technicians. Responsible for implementing staff training programs. Assists with the design, specification, procurement, installation, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment. Responsible for developing maintenance procedures for medical equipment. Responsibilities Ensures an adequate daily staffing level. Responsible for periodic performance evaluations of all Technicians. Recommends employment, disciplinary actions, commendations, and terminations. Works with staff to manage workloads and priorities including ensuring equipment maintenance programs are kept within established guidelines. Responsible for implementing the departmental training program. Ensures there is an adequate supply of repair parts and materials. Ensures there are written maintenance procedures for all equipment included in the equipment inventory. Works with leadership in making staffing and budgeting recommendations. Performs equipment repairs and preventive maintenance. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in appropriate engineering or scientific field with 4 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering field, preferably in hospital setting or the equivalent in education and experience. Must possess the social traits necessary to interact closely with staff and patients often under difficult and trying conditions. Required Licensure/Certifications None
