Job Description

Summary Statement:
The Supervisor, Count Room, is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Count Room, ensuring the integrity of the count and compliance with Gaming Regulations. This role involves working closely with Count Team Attendants, performing administrative functions, and supervising the team. Additionally, the Supervisor supports the Count Room Manager in implementing and achieving departmental goals that align with the property's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate fosters a work environment that upholds our core values, promoting integrity, teamwork, performance, recognition, mutual respect, and team member satisfaction.
Primary Job Duties:
- Includes but is not limited to: Oversee and participate in the Count Room function, ensuring the integrity of the count and compliance with Gaming Regulations. Manage and assist in the currency drop and count. Verify daily count totals are balanced with reporting. Monitor and assign daily work assignments to the Count Team. Manage Human Resources responsibilities to include quality hiring and training, staff motivation, feedback and development, promotions, discipline, and terminations. Prepare Cashier daily transfers, ensuring strict controls and accountability is adhered to. Track and order all supplies required to efficiently run the daily operations of the count room. Identify opportunities within the department and propose ideas that will increase overall profitability for the entire property. Adapt quickly and effectively to procedural changes and assist with other special projects. Monitor standards, delegation of daily work and running of all reports for the department. Develop relationships with property leaders to ensure strong communication between the Count Team and operating departments. Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing. Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc. Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Includes but is not limited to: Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to effectively communicate in English. Polished appearance and demeanor. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures. Ability to successfully mentor and lead a team. Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred :
Working knowledge of Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and gaming regulations. Strong project management and continuous improvement background. Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (example Word, Excel). Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education and Experience:
At least 21 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year of experience within count room operations in a similar or related field. Minimum of one year of leadership or management experience in a related field.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
