To Be Determined Job Description The Lower Moreland Township School District seeks an energetic and innovative individual who is looking for a unique, multi-faceted challenging leadership opportunity as the Supervisor of Student Services. The Supervisor, working under the Director of Special Education and Student Services, is responsible for: Staff Supervision and Development Directly supervise and evaluate Teachers of Special Education, Related Service Providers, and Paraprofessionals. Plan, provide, and monitor training for special education staff. Plan for and track special education paraprofessional continuing education hours (20 hours per year). Serve on interview panels for paraprofessionals and special education teachers. Coordinate parent training opportunities. Special Education Compliance and Administration Act as the Local Education Agency (LEA) Representative. Conduct clinical reviews of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Notice of Recommended Educational Placements (NOREPs). Provide IEP caseload management. Oversee the district's Special Education Plan and act as the Student Services Grant Coordinator. Manage the Special Education Shared Drive. Coordinate Indicator 14 Data Collection (every 6 years) and the yearly Post Secondary Outcome Survey. Coordinate Indicator 13 training and update internal procedures based on the results. Act as the Program Administrator for specialized educational software platforms. Student Transition and Out-of-District Placements Serve as the Transition Coordinator and Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) Point of Contact. Coordinate and supervise Supported Work placements, Work Study programs, Out-of-District vocational programs, and related transportation for these programs. Act as the Special Education Liaison for the Eastern Center of Arts and Technology. Support for Vulnerable Student Populations Serve as the district's Homeless Liaison, monitoring McKinney-Vento compliance. Act as the Foster Care Point of Contact. Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Support Act as a direct liaison with building Principals regarding any special education issues. Support the scheduling of students receiving special education services. Coordinate MVP Online Learning for students receiving special education. Support school counselors, nurses, teachers of gifted students, ELD, and General Education teachers as needed with student services/special education concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of a Master's degree. Active Pennsylvania Supervisor of Special Education certification or certification as a Principal PK-12. A minimum of 5 years' experience in teaching in special education is required. One year of administrative experience preferred. The ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and the community.
COMPENSATION
The salary will be in the range of $142,000-$148,000. This position falls under the Act 93 Agreement and is a 12-month, full-time position.
