Job Description

This position is in the Office of the Administrator, Office of Applied Science & Environmental Solutions, Environmental Solutions Division, Groundwater Sciences Lab Branch, Groundwater Science Section.
About :
AO This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
NOTE:
You must meet qualification requirements, including any requirements described in the Education section, by the closing date of this announcement. In addition to the basic entry education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time
  • specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as leading scientific risk assessments that involve groundwater characterization or remediation including groundwater/surface water systems. To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time
  • specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as leading and overseeing scientific risk assessments that involve groundwater characterization or remediation including groundwater/surface water systems.
You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Budget and Cost Management. Administration and Management. Critical Thinking.
  • (Assessed at GS-14 only) Coaching and Developing Others. Conflict Management. Decision Making. Environmental Pollutants and Hazards.
  • (Assessed at GS-14 only) Planning and Evaluating.
  • (Assessed at GS-15 only) Scientific Research. Technical Knowledge (Related to Position).

  • You will be evaluated on these critical competencies.
