Job Description- Supply Chain Analyst Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in business management, operations, logistics, or a similar field Prior project management experience Supply chain management certification is preferred Essential Skills Quantitative analysis expertise Interpersonal communication skills Critical-thinking skills Organizational abilities Problem solving skills RolesResponsibilities Quoting Develop ideal strategic supply chain process for prospective customer packages that gives Champagne Metals the best competitive advantage possible from pricing, inventory, processing, and freight standpoints Forecasting Analyze usages and inventory at a customer level to identify and correct shortages and surpluses in inventory Ordering Negotiate pricing and issue purchase orders for inventory needed and justified, attaching appropriate documentation for tracking and auditing purposes Sales Analysis Assist Account Manager in analyzing and explaining usage changes Acknowledging Orders Check and verify quantities, pricing, tolerances, and due dates confirmed back by the mill to ensure they match what we have in our system and customer needs PO Status Updates Monitor purchase order progression through suppliers' process in order to ensure that material in received in a timely manner to avoid shortages to the customer Assess a company's processes and inventory, then use that data to improve efficiency and reduce costs Monitor and collect data on current operations, including scheduling, sourcing, warehousing, production, and delivery Gather data on each step within the supply chain, using it to recommend changes to reduce costs Day-to-Day Duties Investigate pain points within the process and develop solutions to resolve conflicts and inefficiencies Negotiate with vendors and carriers to secure best pricing and ensure contract compliance Create performance reports for management to review Communicate with other departments within the organization to identify efficiency issues, develop solutions, and implement changes Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values Collect data on supply chain operations. Analyze data to identify areas of supply chain operations to improve efficiency. Develop and execute projects to enhance supply chain operations. Establish and maintain relationships with shippers and vendors. Assess vendor operations and enforce compliance with quality standards. Measure supply chain performance and report to management. Work with the procurement, logistics and IT departments to enhance service delivery. This position is based out of our Glenpool, OK office.
