Job Description

Supply Chain and Operations Intern Gilson, Inc. 23 To 25 (USD) Hourly United States, Wisconsin, Middleton May 13, 2026 MISSION To engage with and learn about supply chain & operational activities at Gilson; through supporting and executing tasks including but not limited to; purchasing, report execution, distribution & analysis, customer order management. This opportunity will act as both a support to the daily operations within Gilson, as well as an opportunity to learn valuable cross-departmental communication skills, while gaining a foundational understanding of the supply chain process from sourcing through to customer order fulfillment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute and distribute daily reporting to the specified stakeholders Assist with the analysis and review of daily customer orders; communicating incremental demands to the Master Scheduler and production teams Assist and support with the material flow from machine shop through our 'finishing suppliers', via purchase order(s) & corresponding maintenance, as well as communication with suppliers and the internal production team. Process daily order intake for ClientFirst team; executing order maintenance within CSI10 by reviewing inventory schedules and providing initial customer commitment dates Assist with ad-hoc projects involving but not limited to, item parameter maintenance Aid wider operations group, as tasks necessitate (Assembly, Warehousing, etc). Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION
Currently pursuing bachelor's degree, preferably in a Business-related field such as Purchasing, Materials Management, Logistics or Production Management
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred but not required, previous experience within an office environment Preferred by not required; previous experience within an industrial/manufacturing environment Experience with ERP computer systems running MRP/APS Experience using analytical tools and techniques to solve business problems
SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE
Working knowledge of computer operation, Windows applications, particularly Microsoft Office applications Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
PHYSICAL ABILITY
Good or corrected vision Ability to sit for extended periods of time OTHER Adaptability to varying tasks, based on needs of the business Ability to self-motivate both within an individual and team setting Regular attendance and punctuality Desire to acquire new skills and learn new processes Ad-hoc reporting and analysis skills, as well as ability to present results in a clear manner.
