General Summary:
The Supply Chain Demand Planner / Scheduler is responsible for managing end-to-end material flow and production scheduling for the Kings Mountain manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring uninterrupted production and customer fulfillment by establishing, monitoring, and optimizing inventory levels for finished goods and intermediate materials. The position requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Analyze historical sales, consumption trends, and forecast data in collaboration with Sales and Production, ensuring alignment with capacity and process flow constraints Establish target inventory levels and independently develop rough-cut weekly production plans Manage daily production and inventory transactions within SAP, ensuring accurate data entry and proper inventory classification (e.g., Rework, Waste, Rejects, RMAs) Maintain inventory accuracy and actively monitor all inventory types (ROH, HALB, FERT, HAWA, VERP) in alignment with Net Working Capital and Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO) targets Generate and distribute monthly inventory and KPI performance reports Utilize SAP for all production planning, scheduling, and inventory management activities Create and manage production orders while maintaining effective schedules Collaborate closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure materials are available at the right time and place to meet customer demand Coordinate and communicate inventory-related information with internal stakeholders and external partners as required. Prepare weekly and monthly inventory aging and status reports for all North Carolina warehouses and facilities Lead and conduct cycle counts and oversee all physical inventory activities within NC manufacturing and warehouse locations Maintain and update customer consignment inventory records on a monthly basis Effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs in a dynamic environment
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field strongly preferred In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3-5 years of materials planning or materials management experience required Minimum of 3 years of progressive materials management experience Minimum of 2 years of SAP experience required 2-5 years of experience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
