Supply Chain Specialist

Primary Purpose of Role:

The primary purpose of the Supply Chain Specialist is to support AeroGen-TEK by procuring raw materials, supplies, parts, equipment, and services required for successful manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Reviews purchase requisitions. Confers with vendors to obtain products or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items. Estimates values according to knowledge of market price.

Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid. Prepares purchase orders or bid requests. Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories. Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and appropriate corrective actions. Approves invoices for payment.

Expedites delivery of goods to users.

Additional Responsibilities:

Maintain housekeeping at and around department. Apply 6s principles to all areas of the plant. Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area. Follow all quality systems and AeroGen-TEK operating procedures as applies to certifications, duties, and training matrix. Follow all AeroGen-TEK rules and regulations, including safety rules. Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Minimum two years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment with proved skills or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience with MS Office Suite and ERP software - EPICOR ERP software preferred. Ability to coordinate, organize, document basic information. Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Good communication skills, presentation skills, basic computer skills, human relations, and analysis of products. Ability to work well in a team environment.
