Job Requirements march afb, CA Secret Polygraph Unspecified Career Level not specified Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description Duties The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position is to review policies, methods and procedures of maintenance/supply interface; and brief the Group Commander/Senior ART, branch supervisors, and other personnel on changes/requirements in correlation with base-wide supply meetings. Additionally, provides training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. Inspects and evaluates supply management activities, giving guidance, and recommending corrective action. Determines need for individual and group training, and arranges for facilities, training aids, and instructors. Determines and forecasts supply requirements for long and short range maintenance programs. Maintains aggressive supply discipline. Maintains supply records/files/logs and prepares original letters, reports, and messages for supervisory review and signature in support of unit's supply requirements. Orders all TCTO kits/parts/tools for maintenance Operates the Integrated Maintenance Data System, which provides on-line access to a database containing organization, equipment, mission, and status date. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions and an intensive knowledge of supply support procedures, equipment management, stock control, and mobility account procedures; knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system.

POSITIONS

One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of governing supply instructions, procedures, guidelines, and regulations applicable to specific assignments or functional areas. 2. Knowledge of supply support procedures, equipment management, stock control, and mobility account procedures. 3. Knowledge of standard supply management procedures applicable to specific assignments or functional area. 4. Ability to use and maintain a computer system and supply software. 5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to maintain good working relationships. 6. Skill in resolving logistics supply problems. Other significant facts pertaining to this position are: 1. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Work schedule will be aligned to allow the incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTAs). The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. occasionally 2. ARTs are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Reserve units and members; are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency.
