SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC LEADER

(WL-5801-11) you will serve as a working leader of three or more Surface Maintenance Mechanics, WG-5801-11. Performs mechanic duties such as maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and/or overhaul of a variety of complex comb, tactical, commercial, and special purpose vehicles and equipment having compliced mechanical and non-mechanical systems with a variety of interconnected systems. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE

: Experience or training which demonstres knowledge of equipment to be able to do routine jobs, simple preventive maintenance tasks, and can use common tools and equipment in the line of work.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: Must have least 24 months experience in addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstres the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly reled the repair function of this occupional series. Must have the ability to perform administrive functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publicions used in the repair of supported equipment. The ability to provide guidance to others in work reled directly to this occupional series.
