SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR
(TITLE 32), WS-5801-10, you will supervise workers directly or through subordine leaders and/or supervisors in accomplishing work of the function. Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Plan use of subordine workers, equipment, facilities, and merials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis. Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plan work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by the supervisor. Determine the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects. Provide management with workload da, estimes, and recommendions to facilite more effective management decisions for staffing and funding requirements to support customer units. Ensure work in progress and completed work meets established standards by implemention of a Quality Control and Assurance program within the organizion. Ensure equipment repairs do not exceed maintenance expenditure limits in accordance as established by regulion and or policies. Effectively, efficiently, and economically make adjustments as necessary to maximize production, accomplish specified tasks, and manage resources. Note work reled problems and independently implement corrective actions, which can be taken without affecting work operions controlled by other supervisors. Prepare for and participe in various types of readiness evaluions, inspections, mobilizion and command support exercises. Determine training needs of subordines and arrange for accomplishment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: WS-10 Level MUST possess specialized experience which includes, In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstres the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience th provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstres the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communice knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situions.
SPECIALIZED SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE
: MUST possess specialized supervisory experience which includes experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through Nional Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizions (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience th transles directly to paid employment.
