Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Advance your career in surgical services by providing vital assistance during operative procedures. Skilled healthcare professionals with experience as OR Technicians (ORT), Certified Surgical Technologists, or those with strong backgrounds as Non-Certified Surgical Techs are invited to contribute to a supportive, mission-focused team.
Schedule:
13-week assignment Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00
PM Key Qualifications:
Previous experience working as an Operating Room Technician or Surgical Technologist (Certified or Non-Certified) Strong understanding of sterilization protocols and surgical equipment handling Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and support various medical professionals throughout procedures Excellent communication and teamwork skills Dependability and adaptability in dynamic clinical settings
Primary Responsibilities:
Set up operating rooms with instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures Assist surgeons and other staff during operations by passing instruments and supplies Ensure strict adherence to sterile field policies and infection control guidelines Manage inventory and restock operating room supplies as needed Support operating room turnover and maintain a safe patient environment You will primarily be assigned to procedures at Inverness or Hoover OMS locations, providing essential support within a collaborative and fast-paced healthcare environment.
