Qualifications:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program Demonstrated experience in the operating room as a scrub tech or ORT Comprehensive knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and aseptic techniques Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and available Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and maintaining a sterile field Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures to prevent retained items Maintain a safe and effective environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols Anticipate the needs of surgeons and provide critical support throughout each case Participate in the care and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment Collaborate closely with nursing and other perioperative team members to facilitate seamless patient care This contract role is designed for adaptable professionals who can work efficiently while upholding high standards.
