Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful clinical role supporting surgical teams by delivering exceptional care and technical expertise. This contract position offers the chance to make a significant difference in the fast-paced environment of the operating room alongside respected medical professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credentials required Previous experience in operating room settings, specifically with perioperative procedures and protocols Proficiency with sterile technique, instrumentation, and surgical equipment Strong understanding of patient safety standards and infection control Effective communicator with team-oriented approach Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (current)
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room by ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are available and appropriately sterilized Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures, anticipating needs and passing instruments safely and efficiently Support patient positioning and the setup of sterile fields Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout surgical procedures Account for all instruments and supplies before, during, and after operations Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to promote optimal patient outcomes Document operative procedures accurately according to facility protocols This contract position is ideal for detail-oriented surgical technologists who thrive in dynamic environments and possess a passion for patient safety and supporting high-quality surgical care.
