Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a critical role supporting surgical teams with your expertise as a Certified Surgical Technologist. This contract opportunity offers diverse case experience across orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopy, gynecology, ENT, podiatry, urology, ophthalmology, and dental procedures. Collaborate closely with skilled healthcare professionals in a dynamic, volume-driven environment.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 24 to 40 hours per week, based on case volume On-call required 10-11 days per month (Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM) No weekend or holiday shifts
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program Active CST certification Current BLS certification Prior experience in ortho, general surgery, GYN, ENT, urology, podiatry, ophthalmology, dental, or endoscopy strongly preferred Demonstrated skill assisting surgeons with aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for various surgical specialties, ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are ready Assist during procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgical team and maintaining sterile fields at all times Handle surgical instruments, specimens, and equipment with precision and attention to safety protocols Support post-operative clean-up and verification of instrument counts Participate in on-call coverage as assigned to help respond to urgent surgical needs
