Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic nursing role where your expertise in the Operating Room can make a meaningful impact. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with OR experience, eager to provide exceptional care as part of a collaborative surgical team.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current and unencumbered RN license At least one year of recent Operating Room experience BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred) Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices Experience with a range of surgical procedures and OR equipment Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, competent nursing care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative process Prepare the OR by ensuring all necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment are available and functional Serve as scrub or circulating nurse, anticipating needs of the surgical team Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols Monitor, assess, and document patient status before, during, and after surgery Communicate updates and respond to needs of the surgical team, patients, and their families Uphold patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
