, has immediate openings for an experienced Trimble Business Center Survey CAD Technician with a background in heavy civil construction. The position will be responsible for assisting with projects located in the Denton area . The surveyor must have some experience in construction survey techniques including bridge/structures, heavy highway, railroad, and dams/reservoirs. The ideal candidate is responsible, has civil construction experience, is hard-working and eager to learn. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Ability to work outdoors in a hands-on construction environment Conduct physical site survey using a variety of company provided tools and equipment including stakes, measuring devices, hand tools, ladders, personal protective equipment Assist Survey Manager with verifying the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites Assist Survey Manager to verifying office calculations to field Ability to read and identify plans quickly and accurately Quick to respond to construction issues and able to solve problems with viable solutions in concert with the entire construction team Must work well with other project team members in the field and office CAD skills are preferred Experienced, self-motivated, and able to work independently is a must Willing to travel at times to other projects The ability to lead and supervise field crews Proficiency with survey equipment (GPS, Robotic Total Stations, Data Collectors, Machine Control, Digital Levels) Strong decision-making abilities to address issues in the field Effective communication skills to interact with our team members and sub-contactors Bilingual (Preferred) Maintaining accurate field notes and survey records Drone Pilot License will be a BIG Plus Scheduling crews and assigning tasks Maintaining Safety standards Managing Equipment Proficiency in Trimble Business Center Software CAD software programs our employer uses: TBC (Trimble Business Center) Computer Skills Be able to use various software packages including Microsoft Office, Bluebeam (Revu) Interpreting Design Plans and Instructions Analyze blueprints (plans), sketches, and other design documents to understand the project requirements Soft Skills Adaptability Attention to detail Communication Creativity Teamwork Problem-solving Time management Maintaining and Updating Files Be organized Manage and Update files Compensation varies depending on experience.
