Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays! In this dynamic role, you will craft authentic and innovative sushi dishes that delight our guests and elevate their dining experience. Your expertise in sushi preparation, presentation, and culinary artistry will be essential in creating a memorable atmosphere where quality and creativity thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a fast-paced, energetic environment dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistic flair Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in all food preparation areas Develop new sushi recipes and presentation techniques to keep menus fresh and exciting Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage of seafood and other perishables Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours Educate staff on sushi techniques, ingredients, and presentation standards to uphold quality consistency Assist in training junior kitchen staff and apprentices to foster skill development and teamwork Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine Strong knowledge of seafood handling, knife skills, and sushi rolling techniques Ability to develop creative recipes and adapt to menu changes seamlessly Excellent attention to detail in food presentation and quality control Familiarity with kitchen safety protocols, sanitation standards, and food allergy awareness Experience working in fast-paced restaurant environments with high-volume service Passion for culinary arts with an eye for aesthetics and innovation
