Part-time Description:

General Function:

The Swim Lesson Instructor is responsible for providing safe, high-quality, engaging swim instruction in accordance with YMCA of the USA (Y-USA) standards and curriculum. This role ensures a positive member experience, promotes youth development, and maintains strict adherence to all YMCA Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) policies, including requirements associated with Presidium accreditation.

Education/Certifications:

Required certifications (or obtained within 120 days):

YMCA V.6

Swim Lesson Instructor Certification OR an approved equivalent. CPR/AED for Red Cross (training available) First Aid Oxygen Administration (training available) Strong swimming proficiency and ability to demonstrate strokes. Excellent communication and child engagement skills.

Technical Skills:
