Job Description:
Nahant Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time Occupational Therapist to provide services to students in PreK-Grade 6 at Johnson Elementary School. This is a contractual position with flexible scheduling, ideal for a skilled and collaborative OT who is passionate about supporting student access and independence in an inclusive learning environment. Please note: This position is located in Nahant Public Schools and not in the Swampscott Public Schools. Nahant School contact information is below. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Evaluate students to determine occupational therapy needs Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports Present results and recommendations at IEP meetings Provide direct OT services as outlined in student IEPs Consult with educators, families, and staff to support student progress Develop and implement individualized therapy goals and strategies Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress Participate in team meetings and professional development Support school-based initiatives as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy Current Massachusetts licensure as a Registered Occupational Therapist Minimum 1 year of experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills Commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices
