MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Systems Technician III, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission. Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware. Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques. Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, and related peripherals like printers, scanners, hard drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardware). Provides software and system troubleshooting and support. Provides technical support and training to end-users Provide guidance, work related leadership and mentoring to less-experienced technicians Experience with Microsoft Windows Workstation, operating systems, and common applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Office 365) Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned (desktop support) Other duties to include but not limited to logistics Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education :

Associates of Arts/Associates of Science. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience required.

Experience :

3+ years of related experience Technical skills: Microsoft Office Suite and laptop and desktop hardware

Clearance:

Must be able to obtain and maintain secret clearance US citizenship required Role requirements: Experience with customer support Experience with installation of systems and repairs of computers and software's Strong written and oral communication and excellent customer service skills Knowledge of networking Experience working with routers, servers, and switches Location . This position requires working at our GDIT facility in Oakton, Virginia. Must be comfortable working onsite (5) days a week.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.52 - $32.69. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
