Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide engaging tours of the tasting room, sharing detailed information about our products and processes Conduct tastings accurately, ensuring proper food handling and safety protocols are followed at all times Upsell products by highlighting features, pairing suggestions, and special promotions to enhance guest experience and increase sales Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for transactions including cash handling and credit card processing Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation procedures Assist with menu planning for tastings or events, collaborating with culinary teams to showcase our offerings effectively Host and guide consumer, trade, and VIP guests through wine tasting and hospitality experiences. Keep guest and membership information updated in the POS system Restock wine, merchandise, and tasting materials as needed. Experience Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in a tasting room, winery, or hospitality setting Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous Experience in sales or upselling techniques to promote products confidently and effectively Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Background in culinary arts, meal preparation, catering, or banquet service is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse guests Experience working in the food industry with an emphasis on serving in fine dining environments or during large-scale events is desirable Availability of working on weekends, holidays, and varying shifts according to business requirements.
