Job Description

Part-Time Tasting Room Associate The Carlton Winemakers Studio is a one-of-a-kind shared winemaking facility in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley, where over a dozen artisan winemakers craft some of the region's most exciting wines under one roof. Founded in 2002, we've become a beloved destination for wine lovers seeking something beyond the ordinary. We are seeking an outgoing tasting room associate who shares our passion for great wine and genuine hospitality.
Position Summary:
This is a part-time tasting room position for someone available to work Sundays year-round, with some exceptions. The qualified candidate will be responsible for daily tasting room operations and sales. This is the perfect position for a wine professional (or enthusiast) that wants to work in an environment where you can work in the tasting room at a vibrant, functioning winery and learn about multiple brands and varietals. You must be available to work Sundays, with some additional evenings and special events as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is hospitality and direct sales in our tasting room.

Represent our clients brands professionally and educate guests on the wines Perform opening and closing procedures Perform other tasks as assigned by managerBe fun and down to earth
Education, Training, and Other Requirements:
Hospitality experience is required; sales background & wine knowledge are preferred. We pride ourselves on fostering a learning environment for our employees as well as our guests. Applicants must be social, well-dressed, positive, dependable, and professional. You should be fun, articulate, and love giving our guests a fun and educational experience. We value a strong work ethic and people who enjoy working independently as well as with the team.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time. Applicants must be 21 years of age and have or be willing to obtain an OLCC Server s Permit. Please keep in mind that we are an hour away from Portland when applying.

Position starts as soon as possible from 10AM-close (5:30/6PM) Sunday's and occasional event dates and Saturdays as needed.
Compensation:
Competitive pay, tips & commissions for club and email sign-ups.
