Tax & Accounting Client Manager

Tax & Accounting Client Manager Acuity Business & Tax Advisors is a Utah-based provider of advisory services focusing on tax, accounting, and payroll services. We provide ongoing tax and accounting management services to many business owners and individuals in Utah and surrounding states. We are currently seeking a Tax & Accounting Client Manager to join our team in our Ogden, UT office.

Job Description:

The Tax & Accounting Client Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple client projects related to tax, accounting, and payroll preparation services. This position will report directly to the Client Partner and will be responsible for all aspects of setting up QuickBooks files for businesses, categorizing business transactions, reconciling bank accounts, reconciling fixed asset accounts, and making adjusting journal entries. The Client Manager will also be responsible for inputting financial data into tax software as part of the tax preparation process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general ledger accounting practices and be able to work with a variety of accounting software applications. An intermediate to advanced working knowledge of tax law and tax preparation is also necessary. This position will work directly with other staff to assist and train in tax preparation, work directly with clients to review and explain financial statements, work directly with clients to review and explain tax returns prepared by other staff, and help manage all tax & accounting aspects of multiple clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Masters degree preferred
• 4+ years experience in a tax accounting role (or similar experience) required
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment while maintaining strong communication with external parties
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong business sense
• Ability to train other staff and answer tax and accounting questions.
• Ability to review work performed by other staff for accuracy in financial statements and tax returns.

Full-time Pay:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
