Job Description
We are a small CPA firm that services small/mid-sized businesses, complex flow through entities, high-net worth clients, individuals and fiduciaries navigate the challenges of the tax compliance. You will not be bored working with us! We have a diverse clientele in: real estate sales, ownership and development, manufacturing, venture capital/private equity funds, medical field, retail, restaurants and professional services. We are located in the city of Orange, CA. We are looking for an experienced tax professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with corporate tax and the professionalism necessary for the effective diagnosis, solution, development, communication and implementation of clients' tax requirements. This position is responsible for keeping management informed on the status of their work and of any problems that may arise. This position may assist clients by providing a full spectrum of individual, partnership, and S-Corp tax services. This will include planning, research and compliance. Technical skills are necessary to assist in all tasks associated with tax engagements. This position has tremendous growth opportunity. We have a great firm culture and small office charm.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPA or EA required (willing to interview CPA candidates on their way to licensing)
- Ability to conduct tax research with minimal assistance from management
- Prepare, review and organize federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations, fiduciaries and individuals
- Ability to handle/research/detail client accounting discrepancy issues with little-to-zero assistance from management
- All applicants must be willing to take a test for minimum accounting knowledge
- Ability to communicate with IRS and equivalent state regulatory agencies both verbally and in writing
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a public accounting firm or related experience
- Candidate must be able to take a disorganized client from initial meeting to finished tax return Preferred Requirements
- Lacerte experience
- QuickBooks desktop and online knowledge.
- Able to train others
- Strong research ability
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$60,000.00- $85,000.
