Through our proprietary ROUTE planning philosophy, we guide clients in the areas of investment management, income planning, Medicare, tax strategy, and legacy planning. As our firm continues to grow across Central Pennsylvania, we are seeking an experienced CPA to lead and help expand the tax planning capabilities of our organization. This is a unique opportunity for a tax professional who wants to move beyond traditional tax preparation and play a strategic role in helping clients build more successful retirement plans. ⸻ Position Summary The Tax Strategy Manager will oversee the firm's tax department during tax season while also helping develop and implement proactive tax strategies for clients throughout the year. This role combines leadership, technical tax expertise, and long-term strategic planning. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys client interaction, team leadership, problem solving, and identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes through effective tax planning. This is not a traditional public accounting role focused solely on tax returns and compliance. We are looking for a strategic thinker who can integrate tax planning into broader retirement and financial planning conversations. ⸻ Responsibilities Supervise and support the tax department during tax season Review and oversee individual and business tax returns for accuracy and compliance Develop proactive tax strategies for retirement and wealth planning clients Collaborate with financial advisors to integrate tax-efficient planning into client recommendations Identify tax-saving opportunities and planning strategies for clients Assist with Roth conversion analysis, retirement income taxation, distribution planning, and related tax strategies Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax regulations Support client meetings and strategy discussions as needed Help improve internal tax processes and operational efficiency Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability within the tax department ⸻ Qualifications Active CPA license required 5+ years of tax experience preferred Experience reviewing individual and business tax returns Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong understanding of retirement-related tax strategies Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and team members Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and organizational ability Experience with tax preparation and financial planning software preferred ⸻ Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Performance bonus opportunities Paid time off and holidays Professional development support Leadership growth opportunities within a growing organization Collaborative and team-oriented environment ⸻ Why Join IFG?
