Jeffco Public Schools (Jeffco) is located in Jefferson County, Colorado. It is the second largest school district in Colorado serving 69,000 students across 155 schools. With 14,000 employees, the district is the largest employer in Jefferson County and has provided educational excellence for more than 70 years. At Dutch Creek we empower leaders and learners who are kind, respectful, and determined. We are an EL Education Network school, who implements expeditionary learning for content knowledge, character, and high quality work. Our students thrive in a learning environment that honors movement, curiosity, demonstration of learning in a variety of ways, and recognition of age-appropriate developmental processes. Each school year students create representations of their newly acquired knowledge that they present to family members during celebrations of learning. Dutch Creek staff members connect student learning to the real world via field trips and/or work with guest speakers. Students frequently work together on projects, and are encouraged to develop deep levels of understanding and expertise in content areas. Dutch Creek seeks and values teachers who are committed to co-planning with teammates and intervention teachers. Many of our classrooms implement a co-teaching model. Teachers are expected to plan exmeplary and responsive instruction with their grade level teammate using Common Core State Standards and Colorado Academic Standards. Our instructional coach is an integral member of our instructional planning at each grade level. We believe including all of these perspectives and student data helps us design effective, differentiates instruction that meets the leanring needs of all students. Dutch Creek uses EL Education and Math Expressions as our primary resources for systemic instruction. Our teachers frequently observe each other, plan together, and engage in collaborative conversations about organizational improvment. As a collective staff we believe the deprivitization of planning and pratice spurs ongoing improvement for everyone.

RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY
Responsible for instructing students in an elementary grades K-6. Creates lesson plans, instructs students on core subjects such as science, literature, and math, and creates a well-rounded, comprehensive instructional preparedness based on the District's Core Curriculum. Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities. Create positive educational climate for students to learn in. Meet course and school-wide student performance goals. Participate in ongoing training sessions. Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year. Grade papers and perform other administrative duties as needed. Read and stay abreast of current topics in education. Utilize various curriculum resources and technologies to enhance student learning. Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans. Utilize District curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. Prepare and distribute parent communications. Observe and evaluate student's performance. Manage student behavior in the classroom creating appropriate behavior strategies. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND TRAINING
