Teacher Assistant 1

Part-time| M-F, 7:30am-2:30pm| $16.35| Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position. Job Purpose or Objective(s): Assist the classroom teacher with the implementation of the educational program.

Primary Tasks:

1. Monitor the safety and behavior of children in classroom, on the bus, and while on the playground. 2. Assist in setting up the environment (indoor/outdoor for the activities of the day. 3. Assist in teaching based on children's individual developmental needs. 4. Observe and record behaviors of children to assist the teacher in the identification of each child's strengths and growth areas. 5. Attend parent meetings, home visits, parent/teacher conferences as needed. 6. Assist children during meals. 7. Perform other duties as may be assigned. MINIMUM High School diploma or GED Knowledge and ability to work with appropriate software application Good oral and written communication skills Good childcare and decision-making skills Strong interpersonal skills necessary to lead people, be honest, trustworthy, and dependable Must have multitasking ability, self motivated, team player, adaptable, and time management skills TARGET High School diploma or GED Knowledge and ability to work with appropriate software application Good oral and written communication skills Good childcare and decision-making skills Strong interpersonal skills necessary to lead people, be honest, trustworthy, and dependable Must have multitasking ability, self motivated, team player, adaptable, and time management skills
