Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of elementary students by providing meaningful classroom support as an Educational Technician. Work with a dedicated team to help deliver a life skill-based curriculum for K-5 students, gaining valuable experience in a contract assignment running from August 2026 through June 2027. This position is ideal for professionals who hold an Educational Technician II or III certificate and are enthusiastic about fostering positive learning environments. Working 32 hours per week, you will play a vital role in student growth and team collaboration.
Key Qualifications:
Must possess a valid Educational Technician II or III certificate. Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar school-based support role is preferred. Comfortable working with K-5 students, particularly in life skills programming. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Commitment to supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to teachers and students in K-5 classrooms, focusing on life skills instruction and development. Assist in classroom management and the implementation of individualized education plans. Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere. Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other support professionals. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the ongoing monitoring of student progress.
