In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to support classroom activities, foster a positive learning environment, and assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create an engaging space where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children of various ages, including preschool and toddler care. Assist in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to individual student needs, including literacy, math, and social skills. Implement instructional strategies aligned with IEP goals for students with disabilities, including autism and developmental disabilities. Use effective communication skills to interact with children, parents, and team members, including proficiency in American Sign Language when applicable. Help supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions to promote positive behavior management. Support teachers in documenting student progress and behavior through detailed records and reports. Contribute to creating inclusive learning experiences by applying Montessori or other specialized teaching methods suitable for early childhood development. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of special education practices, including familiarity with IEP implementation and behavior management techniques. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous. Classroom experience in private schools or early childhood education programs is desirable. Strong understanding of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and literacy education. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a nurturing environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team dedicated to supporting children's growth. Join us in shaping bright futures!
