Job Description

Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your expertise to a school-based role supporting students with visual impairments in the vibrant Habersham, GA area. This contract position is ideal for passionate Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) who are ready to make a difference in an educational setting for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
Active Georgia TVI licensure or certification required Valid Georgia Educator Certificate Demonstrated experience in school-based settings with students who are visually impaired Comfortable providing direct instruction in Braille and expanded core curriculum areas Familiarity with IEP participation, progress monitoring, and Medicaid billing (where applicable) Experience with students in ASD and severe classroom settings considered a plus Proven reliability and ability to maintain professional schedules
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality TVI services to students with visual impairments within the assigned school(s) Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of personalized learning objectives Provide instruction in Braille and expanded core curriculum frameworks Support documentation needs, including progress monitoring and, where necessary, Medicaid billing Collaborate with educators and school personnel to ensure comprehensive support for students Foster an inclusive learning environment and adapt materials to accommodate student needs
