Position Description:
Create a vibrant learning community for students in a Middle School Language Arts courses (Potentially teaching Journalism, Drama, or another related language art class). Educate the whole child intellectually, emotionally, and physically. Plan instructional needs of all children using a constructivist approach to teaching and learning; implement a variety of assessments; establish good relations with parents, students, and staff; attend all pertinent faculty, parent and school meetings; other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities Include:
Planning for the instructional needs of all students; Attending to the special needs of students; Teaching high expectations for student achievement and behavior; Implementing state and district curriculum; Providing instruction that promotes all skill development, knowledge, and reasoning; Using a variety of assessments to inform instruction; Creating an environment that maximizes student learning with a focus on character development; Developing partnerships that enhance student learning; Modeling and teaching respect with an awareness of diversity; Demonstrating continuous professional growth.
Qualifications:
