Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities await educators passionate about supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing! Step into a rewarding contract role working approximately 8-10 hours a week with K-12th grade students across several sites—all conveniently located within a short distance of one another. This flexible position allows the right candidate to make a meaningful difference in the lives of five unique students, fostering communication skills and encouraging academic growth. Candidates with out-of-state licensure are welcome to apply, opening the door to educators from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The schools are eager to collaborate with a professional who brings creativity, adaptability, and a compassionate approach to teaching.
Desired Qualifications:
Certified as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Experience or training in Deaf / Hard of Hearing education, K-12 Ability to adapt instructional strategies to individual student needs Comfortable traveling between nearby school sites during the workday Collaborative spirit and strong communication skills Eligibility for out-of-state licensure (if not currently licensed in-state)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students who are Deaf / Hard of Hearing Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate services Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals for each student Engage with families and caregivers to support student progress Travel between sites, all located within a short commute This contract position features a competitive pay rate and a comprehensive benefits package, including weekly compensation.
