Job Description
Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity shaping the educational experience for students with visual impairments in beautiful Southern Oregon. This position supports K-12 students across Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake Counties for the 2026-2027 school year. Choose either in-person or VOCO (virtual or consultative) delivery models to fit your strengths and preferences, and become an integral advocate for learners as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Oregon TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) Certification/Licensure is required Experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired Ability to travel within assigned counties for caseload management Skilled in both direct instruction and consultative coaching models Strong communication, advocacy, and collaboration skillsRole Highlights:
Deliver tailored instruction and support to students who are blind or visually impaired across multiple county locations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective IEPs and instructional strategies Adapt curriculum materials, technology, and assistive devices to foster academic and social success Provide ongoing guidance to teachers, families, and support staff regarding accessible practices Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, contributing to their growth and independence Flexibility to work either in-person or through virtual/consultative models, based on student and district needs Enjoy the flexibility and variety this contract role offers, working with a dedicated and professional educational team.
