Teacher - Substitute

Overview:

Edustaff is eagerly seeking to hire Substitute Teachers with the Whitko Community School Corporation starting in 24-25 school year! As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing quality education and support to students in the absence of their regular classroom teacher. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to their educational growth.

Duties:

• Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and ensure continuity of instruction
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
• Provide instruction across various subjects and grade levels, adapting teaching methods as needed
• Support students in their academic and social-emotional development
• Foster a love for learning through engaging and interactive activities
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic progress
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student performance and behavior

Skills:

• Experience working with students
• Tutoring or childcare experience
• Knowledge of preschool or early childhood development
• Proficiency in literacy education strategies
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students in learning
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classrooms and grade levels
• Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
