Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to support our educators in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. This position supports classrooms across all content areas and/or grade levels as needed, providing assistance to lead teachers, ensuring a safe and positive environment, and maintaining the continuity of care and instruction throughout the day. Teacher's aides may be assigned to a particular content area or different areas based on daily staffing needs, which may include covering teacher breaks, assisting with group activities, or supporting students with individual needs. This role is essential in fostering a positive classroom atmosphere and supporting students with diverse needs. Duties Assist teachers in preparing and implementing lesson plans tailored to individual student needs. Provide support through hands-on activities and individualized instruction. Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment. Engage in early childhood education practices to facilitate developmental growth. Collaborate with teachers in curriculum development and classroom management strategies. Supervise students during activities. Maintain open communication with teachers regarding student progress and challenges. Provide individual attention and guidance to students as needed. Provide coverage in classrooms as necessary. Maintain confidentiality of student and family information. Perform other duties as assigned by the school administrator or lead teachers. Skills Strong background in special education, education, or related fields. Support the implementation of lesson plans and curriculum under the guidance of lead teachers. Experience working with children, particularly in the classroom setting. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students and staff. Experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges is highly valued. Classroom experience that demonstrates effective classroom management abilities. Passion for nurturing children's growth and development through educational activities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred. Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting is strongly preferred. Flexibility and willingness to work with various age groups and classroom environments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and staff. Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
